Finishmaster has a new sales leader and a new branch, while The Parts Alliance added a trio of new locations.

Chris Adams has been named senior vice president, sales and marketing at FinishMaster. He will be responsible for the company’s branches throughout the United States and will lead all sales and marketing efforts. He comes from ABRA Auto Body & Glass LP, a major multi-shop operator in the collision repair industry. He has also been in senior executive roles at Pep Boys and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

The Uni-Select subsidiary – which supplies 6,800 collision repair centre customers – also added a new branch in Eugene, Ore., about 180 km south of Portland, where FinishMaster opened a branch in January 2017. In an announcement, Uni-Select said the move supports strategic expansion plans in the region.

“We are thrilled to have Chris join our team and help us accelerate profitable growth at FinishMaster,” said Steve Arndt, President and Chief Operating Officer, FinishMaster. “Additionally, the opening of our Eugene branch location helps us extend our customer coverage initiative in the Pacific Northwest.”

Meanwhile, Uni-Select’s U.K. and Ireland subsidiary added more branches. The Parts Alliance opened two at the end of April and one at the end of June. The moves are on top of four other openings this year and nine in all since the Boucherville, Que.-based company acquired The Parts Alliance in August 2017.

“We are pleased with the expansion to our branch network as we continue to invest in trusted regional brands. We look forward to reaching new customers with our winning blend of leading automotive brands and industry-leading technology,” said Peter Sephton, president and chief executive officer of the European Automotive Group.

“At Uni-Select, we are committed to extending our leadership positions in all three businesses,” added Henry Buckley Uni-Select’s president and chief executive officer. “Building the best team and extending our customer coverage are key company initiatives.”
