Tenneco expands e-learning platform

Electronic learning courses from Tenneco has been expanded to help service and repair providers get more training.

The Tenneco Service Solutions team’s training helps shops provide their employees with access to best practices through instructor-led workshops and other activities.

The curriculum includes more than 25 interactive courses that focus on vehicle inspection, diagnostic techniques and customer communications skills, the company said. Courses cover topics like ride control and emissions control. These are available in English, French and Spanish.

Tenneco has found this format more effective than training events, saying those only provide a temporary business boost.

“Service Solutions takes a holistic approach to helping Tenneco customers increase their ride control and other service volume over the long-term,” said Ethan Bregger, Tenneco’s North America aftermarket training manager. “Our eLearning modules help employees contribute to a sustained improvement in the way their shops approach ride control replacement and other service opportunities.”

Still, classroom training led by ASE-certified trainers is available, along with other resources like the Tenneco Technical Resource Center and the Tenneco Experience mobile product and technology trailer.

“We are collaborating with a growing range of distribution networks, service chains and other customers in developing and delivering custom technical and business training that drives positive results at the service dealer level,” Bregger said.
