Meghan Agosta
Canadian women’s hockey star and Vancouver police constable Meghan Agosta will deliver the keynote address at the upcoming Supporting Women in Trades conference (SWiT).
The conference, scheduled for June 17 and 18, is organized by the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum to address the pressing need to attract more women into the skilled trades.
Agosta, a police officer and three-time gold medalist on the Canadian Olympic women’s hockey team is no stranger to the challenges facing women in non-traditional roles.
She will share her insights on how to persevere in the face of adversity and how to be a champion.
The SWiT conference will be held at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver and hopes to build on the momentum from the 2018 SWiT in Halifax.
