Frost & Sullivan announces that SAP has been awarded its prestigious 2003 Customer Leadership Awards for the European automotive industry in every significant category of application software.
The Awards recognise that SAP has partnered successfully with more European automotive customers than any other software vendor in Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence and E-procurement, according to a survey of significant European automotive companies conducted by Frost & Sullivan.
“SAP is the only vendor that customers describe as providing a strategic platform for software applications within their company. This commitment explains how SAP has achieved the clean sweep of awards in every category that we asked IT decision-makers about,” said Andrew Ball, Frost & Sullivan industry analyst.
In the new market study, Understanding the Enterprise Application Opportunity in the European Automotive Market, IT managers in the automotive industry consistently describe SAP as the “standard” and the “preferred choice.” IT managers are also reassured by SAP’s long term commitment to the automotive industry and the frequency of product enhancements. This was contrasted with the frequency with which other software vendors and products come and go.
“We are pleased that our contributions to the automotive industry have been recognized,” said Kerstin Geiger, vice president of SAP for Automotive. “The SAP for Automotive team looks forward to continuing to set the standard in enhancing communication and collaboration across the automotive supply chain.”
Fully open and scalable, SAP for Automotive provides a platform for future growth as well as ways to immediately achieve enterprise agility and a competitive advantage.
