2-Step Oil and Fuel Treatment Kit
Penray has announced two new chemical products which it says will extend engine life and restore performance to original levels
The 2-Step Oil and Fuel Treatment Kit #7702 has a chemical service kit to remove debris and deposits from fuel systems. It also fortifies engine oil using “a specially-formulated compound” which extends the life of the vehicle’s engine oil and strengthens it.
“The combination of these two products enhances the effectiveness of any oil change service,” the company said.
Included in the two-step product is the total fuel system cleaner, which Penray says is effective in dissolving and removing deposits in the fuel system. That includes debris, varnish and other contaminants. “The result is an engine that is easier to start, is more responsive, and achieves improved fuel economy and lower emissions levels.”
It also includes an oil treatment containing detergents and additives to boost lubrication and life of engine oils. “The use of this additive promotes easier starting, prevents dry start-ups, and extends the life of critical engine components like engine bearings and piston rings,” Penray said.
3-Step Premium Oil System Cleaner kit
Also announced is the upgraded 3-Step Premium Oil System Cleaner kit, #7603. It includes the same supplements as the two-step, but adds Penray’s Crankcase and Differential Cleaner. “This powerful cleaning agent is particularly useful on higher-mileage engines, those which have seen severe service, or those that have not had regular oil and filter changes.”
Technicians add the cleaner to engine oil five minutes before draining. It then “works to dissolve gum, sludge, and varnish throughout the crankcase, including critical areas like pistons, rings, cylinder walls, and the highly-sensitive cam/lifter interface.” Then the oil is drained out along with the debris.
“The precision of fuel injectors used in virtually all late-model cars requires that they be kept meticulously clean and free of debris and deposits that can interfere with proper fuel delivery and injector spray patterns,” said Mark Kardon, director of marketing for Penray. “These two new service kits provide the opportunity to upgrade to a powerful premium service that enhances both performance and longevity.”
