The Penray Companies, Inc. has honored two sales executives, Mike Goodheart and Bill Wicker, with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. The Award recognizes Penray associates whose careers yield exceptional achievements in meeting and exceeding sales goals, customer satisfaction, interpersonal relationships with company associates, and other criteria. Penray is a leading supplier of service chemicals, functional fluids and Need Release Coolant Filters to automotive, industrial and heavy duty truck markets.
Goodheart, who retired after his 39-year career with Penray, was not only a very successful sales executive, but also deeply involved in the industry, particularly in the heavy duty and fleet arenas. A long-time member of the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC), Goodheart was a Recognized Associate of TMC and received the organization’s highest honor, the Silver Spark Plug Award. In addition, Goodheart was a recipient of The Shoemaker Award presented by Midwest Wheel Companies, one of the largest truck parts distributors in the Midwest.
“The recognition by customers and industry associations attests to Mike’s character and commitment,” explains Randy Fowler, vice president of sales for Penray. “Those accolades, coupled with his decades of sales success with Penray, make him a very special person indeed.”
Bill Wicker received the Lifetime Achievement Award on the occasion of his retirement after some 46 years of service to Penray. In that time Wicker dealt with hundreds of customer companies and made thousands of industry friends. His warm demeanor and quick wit helped him open many doors, and his ability to relate to customers and their needs helped assure his sales success over many decades.
“Bill’s work embodied the Penray spirit in all of his work on our behalf,” explains Fowler. “Extensive product knowledge, great people skills, and a sense of humor all allowed Bill to develop and keep long-term relationships with his customers and co-workers, which is the Penray way,” adds Fowler. “His body of work serves as a model for all who will follow in his footsteps.
