Osram names new leader for Canada, U.S.

Osram Sylvania veteran Joe Verbanic has been named the new managing director for Canada and the U.S. at Sylvania Automotive. 

He takes over from Grant Wright, who retired recently. Verbanic has spent 30 years with Osram, 25 of them in the automotive business in roles such as finance, product marketing, aftermarket marketing and aftermarket sales.  

Osram also announced two more appointments to its automotive business. Greg Bibbo is now director of aftermarket sales and marketing, taking over from Verbanic. He’s been witht he company for 28 years with the last 21 in Sylvania’s automotive business. His experience includes roles in product engineering, manufacturing leadership and aftermarket product marketing. He was most recently a strategic account manager for a major automotive retailer.  

Ryan DeDecker was also named category manager. He’s spent his entire 11-year career with Osram in the automotive business, working in roles such as manufacturing and engineering. He spent the last four years as aftermarket product manager.
