Snap-on Diagnostics has introduced the Diagnostic Thermal Imager Elite, which uses infrared technology to reveal heat caused by friction, electrical resistance, pressure changes and more. Technicians can track down vehicle faults and find the fix faster, without having to hope or guess that the code was the right one after all. Users can point to any area of a vehicle for detailed images of its heat signature. When a Wi-Fi connection is active, images captured by the unit is automatically uploaded to the cloud via Snap-on’s new sharing service, AltusDrive.com. Technicians are able to access the images from their phone or computer whenever needed.
