New Solutions From Activant

New Solutions From Activant

Activant Solutions Inc., a provider of innovative business management solutions for the automotive aftermarket, has introduced an affordable eCommerce Web software solution that enables replacement parts distributors and jobbers to establish functionally rich, custom Web stores for use by service dealer accounts and consumers.
The new software solution already has been selected for use by more than 40 distributors who collectively conduct business with thousands of service dealers and do-it-yourselfers.
Activant’s new eCommerce Web software solution enables distributors and jobbers to create self-branded Web stores featuring custom graphics, content and functionality.
In addition to part lookup and ordering capabilities, distributors have used the new solution to establish a broad range of differentiated services, including delivery/shipment tracking, special product offers, and online invoices, statements and payments.
Each Web store can be seamlessly integrated with the customer’s business management system, as well as ePartExpert online parts catalog and Activant Cover-to-Cover graphical eCatalog module, through the use of Activant AConneX and other eCommerce tools.
“Our new Web store software solution was developed for distributors and parts store owners who have specific needs beyond what a third-party eStore provider can offer,” said Steve Bieszczat, vice president of information services and marketing for Activant.
“This new alternative enables our customers to differentiate their Web stores from template-based solutions by offering a customized site for professional accounts and consumers.”
Activant Solutions Inc. is a technology provider of vertical business management solutions serving small and medium-sized retail and wholesale distribution businesses.
The company serves three primary vertical markets: automotive aftermarket; hardlines and lumber; and wholesale distribution.
