New oil from Pennzoil

To respond to demands to increase fuel economy and reduce emissions, Pennzoil has introduced a new line of oil.

The Pennzoil Platinum SAE 0W-16 Full Synthetic Motor Oil is made with PurePlus Technology which is a base oil for future oil requirements without Noack volatility. This oil helps create motor oil to enhance viscosity control and reduced motor oil consumption. It allows this motor oil to enable better performance with respect to oxidation and deposit control, wear protection and fuel economy.

Many 2018 vehicle models sold in the U.S. call for a 0W-16 oil, which can also offer additional fuel economy benefits in comparison to other higher viscosity oils. Some Japanese OEMs have used this grade of oil since 2014 for their vehicles sold in Japan.

Single quart and five-quart bottles will be available in Canada in September, while drum and ecobox options will come in the fourth quarter of 2018.
