New light from Larson Electronics

Larson Electronics has released an inspection drop light that is both waterproof and vapour proof. It is constructed and certified to prevent water or moisture from seeping into the handle or light head when used in wet locations. The LED handheld lamp is offered in red, blue, green, amber and white light outputs.

The VPLHL-LEDC-50 is a 10-watt coloured LED inspection light that produces 1050 lumens, giving nearly three times the amount of foot candles than a standard incandescent lamp but using less than one-tenth of the electricity. It also provides a cooler operation.

The lamp can illuminate about eight feet wide in all directions and has no ballast, making it lighter and easier for use and travel.

It has a rubber, insulated handle for grip and a stainless-steel wire guard to protect the fixture’s glass dome. The lamp comes with a 50-foot-long 16/3 SOOW cable for long range and safe operation in wet areas. OSHA requires the light to be plugged into a GFI protected outlet.

“This colored LED drop light is a lightweight and convenient inspection tool for operators, with powerful and reliable illumination,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC. “Using colored LEDs helps generate greater contrast between equipment parts and backgrounds, allowing for very close and detailed inspections.”
