New charging stations coming to Ottawa

Hydro Ottawa is continuing their goal to develop a network of charging stations to help transportation throughout the city. Hydro Ottawa and FLO are partnering together to pilot 100 “level two” charging stations with residential customers in Ottawa throughout the coming months.

The project’s goal is to help the utility understand residential EV demands. Hydro Ottawa will be recruiting pilot participants, marketing the pilot project, and managing the installation of all charging stations for participants. The company has already installed EV chargers at city hall, the Rideau Centre and Brookstreet Hotel.

FLO will be using its resources to make up to 100 FLO Home X5 charging stations available for the project while providing software services like real-time monitoring, reporting and analysis of infrastructure impacts, as well as conducting demand response events and determining integration with renewable resources.
