NAPA’s Buckley to retire May 1

A career that has spanned 45 years is coming to an end.

John Buckley, executive vice president of NAPA Canada, will retire May 1, UAP Inc. announced. He joined the company when he was just 18 years old. He was always on the move up “as he consistently delivered outstanding results in every role he played,” the announcement said.

Buckley served in many roles, including store manager, general manager, regional vice president for Canada West and Pacific, and senior vice president.

“We would like to thank John for his many years of dedicated service to the organization,” said Alain Masse, president of UAP.

“He truly has played an instrumental role in building a strong leadership team across the country and strengthening the NAPA brand in all of our regions. His natural sense of leadership, combined with his great personality, inspired his colleagues for more than four decades. He will be missed by the team but we’re excited for him and wish him all the best for this new chapter in his life.”
