Repair information solutions provider Micthell 1 has enhanced its search engine in ProDemand to include relevant information from its user community SureTrack.
When a technician types in a code, component or symptom into ProDemand, the software delivers related community trends to the search results screen along with OEM information and SureTrack Real Fixes for the selected vehicle. The trends include posted questions with answers or posted fixes based on discussion threads in the SureTrack Community module in ProDemand.
“This powerful new feature allows technicians to easily find community questions and answers, as well as solutions related to the vehicle in their bay,” said Gary Hixson, marketing manager for ProDemand. “This offers additional real-world insight that technicians can use to reach an accurate diagnosis and complete the repair more efficiently.”
The SureTrack Community includes over 10 years of posted fixes and community discussion.
Furthermore, the community module has a new, default filter that allows technicians to view only the community threads that are related to the current vehicle. Technicians first see threads related to the vehicle they are working on and toggle to ‘all vehicles’ to get a view of community threads for all year-make-models.
