Matco Tools wins Innovation Award for borescope

Matco Tools has received a 2012 Innovation Award from Professional Tool & Equipment News (PTEN) for the PRO1000 borescope.

The PRO1000 was chosen as the most innovative product in the Inspection Tools, Lab Scopes category. Winners are chosen by PTEN’s panel of active and independent technicians, shop owners, mechanics and tool distributors, making the results a reflection of industry trends, product utility and end-user popularity.

“Matco went to technicians, shop owners and service managers to understand challenges and create a solution for ever-increasing warranty documentation needs,” said Aaron Allison, product manager at Matco Tools. “The PRO1000 was developed to solve these issues with a built-in image organization system that’s unique, and features that allow shops to save time, document warranty repairs and insurance claims, and ultimately be more profitable.”

The PRO1000 borescope has a 5.5 mm camera head with 8x’s zoom and a 39” pipe to access tight spots without teardowns, saving up to 90 percent on warranty repair evaluations.
