Mann+Hummel buys Tri-Dim Filter

German-based Mann+Hummel Group has expanded its portfolio of offerings, announcing the acquisition of Tri-Dim Filter Corporation, the largest privately-held air filtration company in North America.

Tri-Dim is based in Louisa, Va. with 800 employees. It is a provider of a full-line of HVAC filtration products and services, including air and liquid filtration, heating/air conditioning supplies, cleanroom filtration, air purification equipment, gas phase filtration, and air testing and remediation.

“Tri-Dim’s portfolio, experienced workforce, geographic reach and amazing customer relationships make them the perfect partner in our further expansion strategy into air and water filtration solutions,“ said Håkan Ekberg, group vice president of Mann+Hummel’s LS&E business unit, in an announcement.

Mann+Hummel noted that the acquisition gives the company more access to Canadian and American markets, bringing more opportunities for growth. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
