Lumileds appoints new sales director

A former chairman of the AIA’s Young Executive Society and a member of the AIA’s CEO Roundtable has been named director of aftermarket sales for automotive lighting company Lumileds. Dave Illes will be responsible for all sales channels and customers in North America, the company announced.

A veteran of the automotive aftermarket with 25 years under his belt in executive sales and account management, he held a variety of roles prior to joining Lumileds. He was most recently with Tenneco from 2010-2017 as director of national sales – Canada at Tenneco and director of strategic accounts for the North American aftermarket. Illes, who will be based in Farmington Hills, Mich. was also regional sales manager at the company for 11 years prior. He also had a brief stint with Philips Automotive Lighting from 2009-2010.
