Uni-Select’s Bumper To Bumper parts stores and Auto Parts Plus are working with Lindertech Training to provide enhanced training options for the Canadian aftermarket.
The fall 2018 Lindertech Training event will be held Oct. 11-13 in Mississauga, Ont. – open to all shops, regardless of their choice in part supplier.
Lindertech is recognized as a Canadian leader in high-quality training for the automotive repair and service industry, featuring management training and the latest technical information on advanced automotive technology.
As in past years, the event will include in-shop hands-on training as well as classroom training.
The morning session on Thursday, Oct. 11, will feature recruitment advice from business management trainer Rick White. Held at Cochrane Automotive in Toronto’s west end, White discuss becoming “a talent magnet.” The afternoon session will cover strategies to help employees reach new levels of performance.
Technical training begins Oct. 12 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Mississauga, where instructor John Thornton will discuss turbocharger operation and diagnostics. A strong emphasis will be placed on turbo support systems including inputs and outputs.
In the afternoon technical trainer Scot Manna will tackle “Far East Failures” — a case study- based class will cover Asian vehicle diagnostics ranging from transmission problems to no-crank issues.
Hands-on training on Oct. 13 will be limited to 25 students. The topic covered will be Engine Mechanical Testing with Modern Tooling. The focus of the class will be to learn how to use oscilloscopes, with the addition of current probes and pressure transducers, to quickly and accurately diagnose engine mechanical issues.
