Lifetime award given to KYB’s McGovern

KYB’s Mac McGovern was honoured at AAPEX with an award to recognize his contributions to the aftermarket.

The Import Vehicle Community Luncheon and Awards Program held during the show in Las Vegas gave McGovern, who had recently retired from the shocks and struts supplier where he was the director or marketing and training, the Lifetime Industry Achievement Award.

McGovern was not in attendance – the first AAPEX he has missed in many years, according to KYB – and the award was accepted on his behalf by vice president Mike Fiorito and director of product and marketing Aaron Shaffer.

“Mac was humbled and honoured to receive the recognition,” Fiorito said. “He hopes that his efforts of listening to and working with the service provider community continue to spread throughout the industry.”
