Thomson Delmar Learning, a leader in educational resources for lifelong learning and part of The Thomson Corporation today announced the publication of the 2005 Chilton Labour Guide Manual and 2005 Chilton Labour Guide CD-ROM.
Thousands of labour times for 1981-2005 domestic and imported cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs reflect technicians’ use of aftermarket tools and training.
“With the Chilton 2005 Labour Guide, professional technicians gain access to labour times for vehicle makes and models that conform to current automotive aftermarket industry standards,” said David Koontz, the publisher of Chilton products for Thomson Delmar Learning. “Prior model coverage has also been re-evaluated by experts to ensure accuracy.”
The labour times reflect actual vehicle conditions found in the aftermarket for domestic and import vehicles, including rust, wear, and grime. These labour times are also widely accepted by insurance and extended warranty companies. Updates based on technical hotline input, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) warranty times, and technical editor evaluation include more diagnostic labour times than previous editions.
The Labour Guide CD-ROM includes the same features and price as the hardcover manual, but with customizable functionality. Updated software allows users to create estimates quickly, while the software keeps track of customers and prior estimates. Drop-down screens make it easy for new users and those accustomed to printed manuals.
