Johnson Controls Goes Shopping

Johnson Controls, Inc., the global leader in building efficiency, today announced the acquisition of Berg Inc., a mechanical services company headquartered in Shreveport, La. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Berg provides HVAC and plumbing services for commercial and industrial customers throughout Louisiana, east Texas and southern Arkansas.
The company currently has approximately 231 employees.
“Berg will offer additional depth and breadth of skills, service capabilities and management to Johnson Controls customers in the Gulf South,” said John Murphy, vice president and general manager of North America service and solutions.
“We are also very committed to continuing to effectively serve Berg’s outstanding customer base. Berg has an excellent reputation in the industry for safety and performance and will help continue our 77 years of success and market leadership in the region.”

“The employees of both organizations are committed to providing the best service in the marketplace and will now be able to offer a broader range of services to our customers.”
