Jonathan Karelse, a marketing professional with a strong background in market analysis and development, has been named director of marketing at Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc.
Karelse replaces Henry Pietraszek who left the company earlier this year.
Karelse has managed increasing levels of responsibility in forecasting and market analysis since he joined Yokohama Canada in 2005. He has also served on the Rubber Association of Canada’s Statistics Committee for the past four years. As director of marketing, Karelse is responsible for all aspects of the company’s marketing operations and resources.
A graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Management’s Executive Management program, Karelse brings a disciplined approach to marketing and a dedication to the company’s core values to his new position.
Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc. markets and distributes a full line of tires for high performance, passenger car, light truck, and commercial truck applications, as well as off-the-road tires for mining, forestry and construction applications. It maintains distribution centres across Canada to serve more than 700 independent tire dealers.
