Paddle Shifter

Designed to work with any automatic 4-or 5-speed transmission controlled by the unique TCI Transmission Control Unit, this shifter features distinctive show car styling and shifting performance that’s perfect for track days or highway cruising. The TCI Paddle Shifter communicates to the Transmission Control Unit through a wireless CAN signal with no worries about signal interference, lag time, or disruption. This shifter fits all 5-and 6- bolt aftermarket steering wheels and ships complete with several spacers of varying widths, allowing the installer to set the steering wheel location for the user’s personal preference.

Gasket Dressing and Flange Sealant

Permatex Inc. has added Hylomar Universal Blue Racing Formula Gasket Dressing and Flange Sealant to its gasket line. This nonchlorinated, gel-based sealant is specially formulated to remain flexible and tacky after application, even when exposed to high engine temperatures. It is designed for use with all pre-cut gaskets and head gaskets, and can also be used as a sealant for machined flanges and threaded parts. Hylomar is also approved for marine engine applications. Scratch Remover

3M Car Care has released its new Scratch Remover. Using fine minerals, Scratch Remover removes the scratch from the paint and slowly brings back the finish. The product is applied by hand and contains no wax, so scratches and blemishes are not filled in. 3M Canada

One-piece Spark Plug

The new Champion Double Platinum Power spark plug (p/n 7989) utilizes a one-piece design that replaces the two-piece high-thread original equipment plug utilized in millions of Ford 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L engines. Previously technicians were challenged when servicing these engines, as the OE plug could separate during removal, potentially leaving the base trapped within the engine block. Brake Pad Category Expansion

Beck/Arnley has announced it has added a category of foreign-branded brake pads to its brake and chassis product module. This category will complement the existing range of Beck/Arnley brand OE replacement pads and Axxis brand brake pads. New Mustang Clutch

Fidanza has introduced its 1.0 clutch for Mustang owners, offering a complete clutch package for improved performance. The 1.0 clutch is available for the 1986-1995 5.0L, 1996- 1998 4.6L Cobra, and 1996-2000 4.6L GT, and has a holding capacity of up to 350 lbs.-ft. torque to the wheels. The clutch assembly’s pressure plate is a high clamp load unit that produces 2,400 lbs. of clamping force while engagement remains stock-like and is easy on the leg. Performance Truck Exhaust

Available in five new designs to fit a variety of cab and bed configurations, the new single DynoMax 2007-08 Silverado/Sierra exhaust system generates up to a 9-horsepower increase and a gain of 14 ft.-lbs. of torque. The new system includes a power-enhancing DynoMax Ultra Flo welded muffler, 3-in. aluminized mandrel-bent tubing, and a polished, logo-embossed stainless tip. Xenon High-performance Work Lamp

Hella Inc. has released its AS300 and AS400 Xenon High Performance Work Lamp. The new work lamps are smaller, more compact, and are compatible with both 12v and 24v electrical systems. The AS300 is designed to withstand tough conditions and has a vibration-resistant mounting bracket, while the AS400 is designed to withstand even tougher work conditions. Mahle Clevite has released both inframe rebuild kits and full overhaul engine kits for the popular Mercedes-Benz 2.7 Litre OM612DE engine used in Sprinter vans. The eight new kits address the specific requirements of tapered or straight connecting rods and reduced compression height that insure that the proper compression ratio is maintained when the engine requires oversized pistons. These kits include everything needed to do an inframe rebuild or full overhaul with pistons, rings, rod bearings, and main bearings.
