Microsoft has awarded Wakefield Canada Inc. a 2007 Pinnacle Award for outstanding business achievements.
Don Weston, Wakefields director of business technology, accepted the Role Based CEO Award at Microsofts 2007 customer conference in San
Diego, CA.
With the creation of Wakefield Canada Inc as Canadian strategic business partner for British Petroleum in July 2005 came the opportunity to implement new computer tools.
The integrated system, which will continue to be expanded and encompass additional benefits,
has now been implemented in many aspects of Wakefields head office and customer relations functions.
The system allows an unprecedented level of customer information to assist in the ordering and distribution of lubricants, planning and analysis tools to ensure supplies and logistics as well as integrated accounting, invoicing
and shipping records.
Weston explains that Wakefield Canada Inc. was selected for the Role Based CEO Award because of its use of integrated Microsoft solutions
to drive overall business performance across its entire organization.
Microsoft Certified reselling partner Tectura collaborated with Wakefield to establish their technology platform, including servers,
databases and productivity tools based upon the available array of Microsoft applications.
Bob MacDonald, Wakefields president is proud of his companys achievement noting, the new system is part of our commitment to Canadian customers to get the best combination of internationally leading lubricants and the support of a responsive domestic supply
chain.”
The Pinnacle Awards, established in 1997, are presented yearly and recognize customers that have achieved notable accomplishments with
their applications.
This year, Wakefield was the only Canadian
company to receive this award.
