Solid training plus six years in key positions within the company give Marsha McLaughlin an excellent understanding of both the manufacturing and marketing sides the lubricants aftermarket business.
In her new position as product manager, this background combines effectively with McLaughlin’s
strong communications skills.
Her current responsibilities include developing and coordinating all Castrol automotive product
requirements relating to formulations, packaging, pricing and product sales support materials.
Working within Wakefield’s marketing department to develop overall brand strategy, McLaughlin will be responsible for the development of consumer and trade product literature and work with field staff and Castrol dealers on a daily basis.
Her position also has special responsibility for public relations, motorsports, shows and other
events as well consumer promotions.
McLaughlin held several positions in the company before her current appointment joining the company initially as a summer student in customer service. Upon graduation from the University of Western
Ontario she served as Castrol Canada’s warehouse and distribution coordinator then as master production planner and production planning team leader before transitioning to Wakefield Canada as demand manager.
