Volkswagen Canada Establishes New Sales Record

An all-new 2012 Passat was the 45,389th vehicle sold this year by Volkswagen Canada, thereby establishing a new annual sales record for the company.
The previous high-water mark came just last year.
The record-setting car, a Candy white TDI Clean Diesel model, was bought from Bill Matthews Volkswagen in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador by excited new owners Colin and Amy Barrington of Swift Current.
In addition to the Passat, Volkswagen has brought several new models to market which have struck a chord with the consumer. The new Jetta has increased in size yet also managed to increase fuel efficiency. The Jetta’s combination of space, standard features and value is underscored by its starting price of just $15,875. A sporty new version, the Jetta GLI has rounded out the Jetta lineup with a performance twist.
Volkswagen’s compact sport utility, the Tiguan, was also restyled this year, and brings a fresh new look into one of the fastest growing segments of the Canadian market.
The 21st Century Beetle has now arrived at Canadian Dealerships, and will bring with it all of the style and fun-to-drive character that Volkswagen fans have come to expect.
