Volkswagen Canada Continues on Record Pace

As dealers awaiting launch of the new 2011 Jetta, Volkswagen Canada announced August new vehicle sales of 3,369 units, continuing a strong sales run for the year.
Year-to-date, the company remains on track to have it’s best year ever, with sales of 30,135 topping last year’s sales of 26,611 during the same period.
Volkswagen Dealers are in the final phases of their inventory sell-down through the “Volksfest” Sales Event, and are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the all-new 2011 Jetta, which will be in dealerships at the end of September. Sales of the 2010 Jetta remain strong, with 739 units delivered during the month of August.
Sales of the new Golf continue to improve, with August figures 185% greater than the same period last year. The new Golf GTI, was also up by 187% for the month.
Notably, TDI Clean Diesel, which is available on the Jetta, Golf and Touareg sport utility models, currently makes up 29% of new Volkswagen sales.
