Uni-Select Expands South

Uni-Select Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase, through a subsidiary, the assets of Auto Craft Automotive Products, LLC, an automotive replacement parts, equipment, tools and
accessories distributor whose head quarters are located in King Of Prussia, PA. Auto Craft operates one distribution center, five branch warehouses, and seven stores. Auto Craft also distributes its products through a network of independent merchants and corporate store locations.
Upon conclusion of the transaction, the business will continue operations as a business unit of Automotive Group USA. With the addition of the Auto Craft locations, Automotive Group USA will operate 45 distribution centers and 173 stores throughout the United States.
Mr. Jacques Landreville, President and Chief Executive Officer of Uni-Select Inc. said, “Auto Craft is an excellent fit for our North-Eastern Division in the U.S. The business model of Auto Craft closely parallels that of our current operations in this region allowing for a seamless integration.”
This business development is expected to add annual sales of US$23,600,000 to Uni-Select’s Automotive Group USA.
The transaction, which is expected to close on May 31st, 2006, is subject to Board approvals and closing conditions.
Uni-Select is Canada’s second largest distributor of automotive replacement parts, equipment, tools and accessories and through Uni-Select USA, Inc., the company also provides service to customers in
the United States where it is the 8th largest distributor. Its subsidiary, Palmar Inc., sells replacement parts, tools and accessories
for heavy-duty vehicles and wheels in Canada. The Uni-Select Network includes over 2,100 independent jobbers and services over 3,100 points
of sale in Canada and the United States.
