Denso has announced that Mitsuo “Matt” Matsushita, president and chief executive officer of Denso International America, Denso’s North American headquarters, and managing officer of Denso Corporation, will retire, effective Dec. 31, 2007.
Matsushita has worked at with the company for nearly 37 years, since he graduated from Kanazawa University in Ishikawa prefecture, Japan in 1971.
Kenji Ohya, senior managing director and a member of the Board of Directors, will replace Matsushita as president and CEO.
Denso Corporation, headquartered in Kariya, Aichi prefecture, Japan, is a global supplier of advanced technology, systems and components. Worldwide, the company employs 112,000 people in 32 countries.
In the Americas, Denso employs more than 17,000 people with consolidated sales totaling US$6.5 billion for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2007.
