Tiger’s Caddy Cuts Tag Heuer Race Deal

Reinforcing its position as a true luxury sports watch brand, Tag Heuer today announced it will sponsor New Zealand race car driver and Tiger Woods’ super-star caddy, Steve Williams.
According to the deal, the Tag Heuer shield will now adorn the body of Williams’ Mustang Saloon’s and fellow Caddyshack Racing driver Mel Hills Mustang.
“For as long as I can remember, golf and speedway have been the two sports that I love most and that have helped define me personally and professionally,” said Steve Williams.
Caddying since the age of 13, Williams has supported such golf legends as Peter Thomson, Mike Clayton, Greg Norman and Raymond Floyd among others.
In 1999, he joined Tiger Woods whose side he remains by today.
Williams’ passion for racing is as strong as it is for golf and when not winning tournaments with Tiger, he can be found competing at Speedway’s throughout New Zealand in the Saloon and Super Saloon divisions.
“Steve’s winning spirit on the golf course has always exemplified our ‘What are you Made of’ philosophy,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, TAG Heuer’s worldwide CEO.
“His passion for racing taps deeply into our DNA making him an ideal representative of the Tag Heuer brand.
“Now, in addition to the golf watch he wears on the course he can proudly show off his Carrera Tachymeter on the track.”
