Tenneco Announces ‘Safe Summer Road Trip’ Consumer Promotion

Tenneco has announced a consumer promotion designed to drive ride control customers back to service providers for future service.
With the program, consumers across North America can earn up to a $50 comeback certificate for future automotive services while helping to protect their driving safety through the new Monroe "Safe Summer Road Trip" promotion from Tenneco Automotive.
Now through August 31, 2003, consumers who purchase qualifying Monroe Reflex, Sensa-Trac or Gas-Magnum shocks and/or struts for their minivans, light trucks or sport-utility vehicles will receive comeback certificate rewards valued at up to $50 in future automotive services. Each comeback certificate can be redeemed at face value for products or services at the location at which the qualifying purchase was made.
Research has shown that the replacement of worn shock absorbers helps protect vehicle steering, stopping and stability performance. The presence of just one 50-percent degraded shock absorber on a vehicle can increase 100-to-0 kph stopping distance by an average of more than three metres, while vehicles equipped with four fully functional shocks provide better steering and stability performance in emergency situations than those equipped with at least one worn shock absorber.
"Safety is the best reason to replace worn ride control components, but we’re offering an additional reward in the form of a comeback certificate for consumers who make the commitment to protect their vehicles’ steering, stopping and stability characteristics," said Sheryl Bomia, North American Aftermarket programs manager for Tenneco Automotive.
Customers purchasing four Monroe Sensa-Trac truck shocks, two Sensa-Trac truck shocks and two Sensa-Trac truck struts, or four Gas-Magnum truck shocks by August 31, 2003, will qualify for a $25 comeback certificate from Tenneco Automotive. Consumers purchasing four Reflex truck shocks, or two Reflex truck shocks and two Reflex truck struts will receive a $50 comeback certificate. The offer is good only through participating locations within the United States and Canada, and qualifying requests must be postmarked no later than Sept. 15, 2003.
