Speedy Corp. acquires Minute Muffler

Speedy Corporation today announced the strategic acquisition of the brand and assets of Alberta-based Minute Muffler group a chain of while-you-wait muffler and automotive repair shops located across Canada, operating under the name Minute Muffler.
Speedy Corporation, owner and operator of the Speedy Auto Service franchise network, has
purchased all 91 Minute Muffler franchises, and will operate the company under the new name
Minute Corporation.

represents a significant step forward for both brands within the Canadian automotive repair

network of 156 automotive repair shops, both entities will enjoy a strengthened level of buying power and market reach in an industry where size has a dramatic influence on success.”
Speedy has a national network of 65 locations from coast-to-coast. Speedy Corporation’s management team will continue to focus on customer service and the development of processes and strategies to enable sustainable and profitable growth.
Added Goldman: “The creation of this kind of critical mass in market will allow both the Speedy Auto Service and Minute Muffler franchise networks to achieve increased levels of profitability and growth.”
Minute Corporation will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Speedy Corporation.
