Spectra Premium Reports Strong Third Quarter


Spectra Premium Industries Inc. of Boucherville, Que., maker of fuel tanks, heat transfer products and other parts for the North American automobile, light-truck and heavy duty truck aftermarket parts, has announced a increase in third quarter results over last year.
The company announced its results today for the third quarter of fiscal 2001-2002 which ended October 31, 2001. During the last quarter, the company recorded an operating income of $4,417,000 compared to $2,673,000 for the same period last year.
This brings the cumulative operating income to $14,584,000 since the beginning of fiscal 2001-2002, representing an increase of 58% over the $9,233,000 recorded a year earlier. For the same nine-month period, the Corporation generated cash flow from operations of $18,673,000, or $0.59 per share, compared to $11,071,000, or $0.35 per share a year earlier, representing an increase of 68%.
