“So this guy walks into the store . .” Activant to Award iPad for Funniest and Most Interesting Parts Counter Story

Auto parts counter professionals can earn a chance to win a free Apple iPad by sharing their favourite stories about unusual and funny on-the-job selling experiences and entering the “Auto Parts Story” contest from Activant Solutions Inc.
Now through June 11, 2010, auto parts professionals can enter the Auto Parts Story contest by submitting a brief (200 words or less) description of their favourite, true parts-selling story. The three most interesting and funny stories, as judged by a professional comedian, will be developed into short video clips by professional animators and a comedic presenter.
The three clips will be posted on YouTube from June 18 through July 5 for final judging by Web users. The participant whose story garners the most votes on YouTube will receive a free Apple iPad loaded with the popular “Real Racing HD” video game.
“The revolutionary new Activant LaserCat3 eCatalogue sets a new standard for eCatalogue speed, usability and selling power. Our Auto Parts Story contest celebrates both this exciting business tool and the thousands of parts professionals who help keep millions of cars and trucks on the road every day,” said Paul Salsgiver, executive vice president, Activant Solutions.
To enter the Auto Parts Story contest, auto parts professionals simply need to complete the online entry form at www.activant.com/autopartstories or mail their story on a 3 x 5-inch card, to: Auto Parts Story, 7683 Southfront Road, Livermore, CA 94551. All stories must be submitted and/or postmarked by June 11, 2010. (Contest rules are available at www.activant.com/autopartstories).
