SKF Receives International Supplier Award

SKF received the 2004 Supplier of the Year award from Autodistribution International (ADI) at a recent ceremony in Kortenberg, Belgium.
ADI is the largest Auto Parts Distribution network in Europe. Overall, ADI serves a market of roughly 200 million cars.
ADI rates yearly suppliers’ achievements in 20 different vital business categories, including quality, distribution, marketing and pricing. SKF cites increased product coverage and availability along with continuous promotion of the SKF brand for its success. It also credits its focus on day-to-day business on a local level.
“The partnership between ADI and SKF is a perfect fit, combining two strong brand names that focus on added value and full product range,” says Rutger Barrdahl, president, SKF Vehicle Service Market. “ADIs unsurpassed distribution and close relationship with the garages have contributed to our success over the last decade.”
Over the last two years, SKF concentrated not only on broadening its product portfolio and coverage, but on having strong customer support to meet the increasing demands of the marketplace. SKF achieves this support through several channels, including its OE partnerships, and its research and development efforts with Scuderia Ferrari on the Formula 1 race circuit.

Headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, with over a 100 manufacturing sites all over the globe, SKF is a valued partner to original equipment manufacturers and a major supplier to the automotive, aerospace, heavy-duty/off-highway, marine and in multitude of other industries.
