SKF Catalogue Gets Accolades

SKF recently received the National Catalogue Managers Association’s (NCMA) 2005-2006 President’s Award for Web Catalogue Excellence for its Passenger/Light Truck On-line Applications Catalogue. The winning on-line automotive catalogue offers applications data, images, part number cross-referencing and specifications, such as size, type and weight.
“We are honoured that the NCMA cited SKF with this award,” said Manuel Lopez, Catalogue Manager, SKF. “The President’s Award recognizes the level of quality that our team has maintained in producing catalogue materials for SKF and our success in offering quality catalogue information on-line. This is especially important to SKF, because our catalogues not only provide guidance to our customers in product selection, but also valuable technical information about applications and maintenance.”
The SKF Passenger/Light Truck On-line Applications Catalogue met specific criteria in order to qualify for the President’s Award for Web Catalogue Excellence, including security, ease of navigation, accuracy of information, aesthetic appeal and effectiveness of the help menu. SKF accepted the award at a recent NCMA banquet held in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Previously, SKF received Catalogue of the Year honours in 2000 as well as the 2003-2004 President’s Award for Catalogue Excellence in 2004.
The NCMA is a professional organization that helps automotive aftermarket catalogue managers effectively use catalogues for sales growth, cost reduction and operational efficiency, as well as foster catalogue accuracy, efficient production and current technology.
