Siemens VDO Automotive Appoints Head of Marketing

Siemens VDO Automotive, one of the world’s leading suppliers of automotive electronics/electrical systems and components, has appointed Sean Stanic as vice-president, sales and marketing for its Service & Special Solutions group.
The announcement was made by Wolfgang Winzer, vice-president and general manager of Siemens VDO Automotive Corporation Service & Special Solutions NAFTA.
Stanic is responsible for the overall management of the Sales, Marketing, Engineering Services, and Tech Support departments for the Service & Special Solutions group based in Allentown, PA. All Sales Managers, department heads, and personnel will now report to Stanic.
In making the announcement, Winzer noted, "Sean Stanic brings a great deal of experience, sales savvy, and market knowledge to his new position, especially in the areas of aftermarket and electronics. He has done an excellent job in his previous role as Director of Sales and has been a major contributor to the exceptional growth and success our organization is now enjoying."
In July 2003, Stanic was appointed as director of sales for the Service & Special Solutions group. Before that, he spent two years as division manager of special OEM, Fleet, and Parts & Accessories.
Stanic became a part of Siemens VDO Automotive Corporation as a result of the merger between Siemens Automotive and VDO North America in early 2002. He had served VDO North America as audio navigation manager since 1999.
Prior to joining VDO, Stanic was the VP of sales & marketing for Jacobs Electronics. He has also served as unit manager for Rostra Precision Controls, and was a national sales manager for ITT Automotive. Stanic is a graduate of Ohio State University and holds BS and BA degrees in marketing.
