Uni-Select told visitors to its Super Circuit trade show “It’s Your Move: All the Parts are in Place,” and the show delivered despite the impact of world events.
Held the Tuesday and Wednesday following the terrorist attacks on the U.S., many conversations in booths were of what was to happen next. While the attendance likely did not achieve its goal of 9,000, exhibitors were steadily busy at the St-Hyacinthe facility. More than 140 exhibitors were displaying products, though some booths were lightly staffed due to the grounding of all flights in North America.
“It was very difficult for many of you to get here,” Michel Charbonneau, vice-president of marketing, Uni-Select Inc., told exhibitors at the awards luncheon, “but we appreciate your support.”
Among the awards presented at the luncheon were the Representatives of the Year, as chosen by Uni-Select jobbers. Jean Vincent, Dayco, was chosen as rep of the year for the Boucherville Distribution Center, while Marcel Felteau, Cofel, was selected as the rep of the year from the Quebec DC.
Other supplier representation awards went to Stephane Carre, tool & equipment category, Barett Marketing, bodyshop products, Permatex Canada, medium volume, and Dana (Raybestos), large volume.
