Shelburne automotive service provider named as Canada’s top garage

Steve Bowles and the staff at Auto Centre Dufferin County Inc. in Shelburne, Ontario have been named as Canada’s 2008 Garage of the Year by Service Station & Garage Management (SSGM) magazine.

The SSGM Garage of the Year is a national award presented annually to the Canadian independent automotive service provider that best exemplifies the highest levels of customer service and communications, business management and operations practices, training and continuing education, industry support and community involvement.  

“We are very honored with the award and to be recognized by SSGM Magazine, our peers and our customers,” says Steve Bowles, owner of Auto Centre Dufferin County. “What is important to me is that this award recognizes the whole team here at Auto Centre Dufferin. This is a real team effort and to be named the 2008 SSGM Garage of the Year recognizes the effort of everyone who works here.”

Close to 30,000 independent automotive service providers across Canada are eligible for the award. In 2008, 709 nominations were received from customers, suppliers and industry counterparts for 81 distinctive automotive service providers from across Canada. 

Steve Bowles and his staff will be formally presented with the 2008 Garage of the Year award in a ceremony at Auto Centre Dufferin County, on Thursday November 27^th at 10:30 am, 710 Industry Road, Shelburne, ON. The award will be presented by Robert Telford, Publisher, and Tom Venetis, Editor of SSGM Magazine.
