There is a full slate of seminars scheduled for today at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas Nevada with things kicking off early (8am) and finishing up at 5pm.
Guest speaker Jackie DeLise starts off the day speaking about creating automotive category leadership through branding and design innovation at the convention centre’s room N245 from 8am-9: 30am. The same room and time period also has these next speakers. Dan Jordan discusses electronic cataloging, Angela Jurson speaks about building a comprehensive marketing plan and Tara Mello takes on business writing basics. Theresa Middlebrook will look into the misuse of non-disclosure and proprietary agreements and Joe Sebergandio discusses how automotive television can increase product and brand awareness. The room will continue jumping when Tom Shay delves into different pricing strategies for profit plus while Dave Silver explains how to ship smart and save by using the SEMA freight savings plan. The two final seminars for this time period this location are, Mike Weinberger explains how to use the Internet to win and creating a robust online sales channel for parts and accessories will be final subject in this time slot.
Two seminars are scheduled for the convention centre’s room N242 starting at 10am. The first is a technical seminar that shows how to use wiring diagrams as aids for diagnostics and runs until 11am and the last is a European round table discussion hosted by Linda Spencer and runs until 11:30am.
After having a break for lunch the seminars begin with a flurry.
A technical seminar dealing with manual and electric lumbar installation presented by Schukra manufacturing runs from 12pm-1pm in convention centre room N245. This is to be followed by Ellen McKoy running an OEM dealer boot camp putting people through a 3-hour guide to creating profitable dealership accessory programs from 1:30-4:30pm also in room N245. Rosen Entertainment Systems will show how mobile video can be made easy in room N242 from 2pm-3pm and secrets from successful tire dealers will be told from 2pm-3: 30pm in room N245. Back for a second running for the day is, creating a robust online sales channel for parts and accessories in room N262 from 2pm-3: 30pm. Room N245 will host Brian Packer and how to improve customer loyalty, Brian Berry discussing pricing strategies and Becky MacDicken will say how government and industry get along from 2pm-3: 30PM. The same room will also host Chris L. "Chubby" Frederick who will show how to increase profits in the 21st century. The final seminar involves fuel and timing calibration on modified engines in room N242 from 4pm-5pm.
The special events for today commence at 7:30am and will end at 10pm. The day begins with a SEMA prayer breakfast in room N217 from 7:30am-9am. The Las Vegas Hilton pavilion 1and 2 will have Don Prudhomme, Warren Johnson, John Force and Darrel Gywnn hosting the NHRA Breakfast of Champions from 7:30am-9am. SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN) will have a select committee meeting at the Las Vegas Hilton conference room number 7 from 9:15am-11am and finish up their day with the SEMA international happy hour at the convention centre room S231 from 5:30pm-7: 30pm. The Truck Cap and Accessory Alliance (TCAA) hosts a manufacturers meeting in room N231 from 10:30am-12pm and follow that later in the day with the TCAA industry reception at the Las Vegas Hilton pavilion 11 from 5:30pm-7: 30pm. The WIC reception will be held at the Las Vegas Hilton ballroom B from 5pm-7pm and the day of events conclude with the SRMA awards at the Hilton in the Hilton Centre beginning at 7pm and finishing up at 10pm.
The celebrity guests scheduled for today include Joe Amato and veteran Indy 500 drivers, Mario Andretti and Pancho Carter. NASCAR/BUSCH driver and NBC commentator Wally Dallenbach and author of Drag Racing Street Class 1955-68, Larry Davis are also scheduled to appear today. Movie star Tyrese Gibson of 2 Fast 2 Furious and comic A.J. Johnson as well as "Two Guys Garage " host Sam Memmolo will be in attendance.
