Top 20 Companies Detailed
A breakdown of the top 20 companies in the retail distribution market, according to sales, is featured for the first time in the 2012 Digital Aftermarket Factbook.
This inaugural Retail Distribution Summary was compiled by Advanstar Communications/Aftermarket Business World, and lends insight into major players in the commercial side of the industry.
Details of each company highlighted include:
•Company name, website, leadership and contact information.
•Details of company headquarters and location.
•Program group affiliation.
•Number of stores.
•Number of employees.
•2009 and 2010 sales numbers (if available).
•Percentages of retail and commercial business volume.
“For many years, program distributors have successfully supplied the professional technician with the products needed to drive the commercial side of the business,” said Ron Rossi, AAIA director, market intelligence. “But in recent years, retail distribution has been gathering strength and gaining share in this massive market segment. Recognizing this aspect of the industry, Advanstar provided AAIA with details of this key facet of the automotive aftermarket, thoroughly detailed in this new Factbook section.”
