Prestone Gains Dex-Cool Approval

Prestone Extended Life 5/150 Antifreeze/Coolant has been approved by General Motors Corporation to be licensed as a Dex-Cool product.
The antifreeze/coolant has been approved under General Motors’ extended life engine coolant specification, GM 6277M. Prestone Products was also granted a long- term contract to supply its extended life engine coolant for approximately one third of GM’s North American factory-fill coolant needs.
Prestone Extended Life 5/150 Antifreeze/Coolant meets all requirements for GM Dex-Cool extended life antifreeze/coolant, and as such has been assigned Dex-Cool license number DC-002.
Prestone Extended Life 5/150 Antifreeze/Coolant offers extended performance and protection against rust and corrosion and is recommended for use in all 1996 and newer GM vehicles, except Saturn and GEO, as well as other cars and light duty trucks with aluminum radiators.
Prestone Products will begin shipping its coolant to aftermarket retailers in the U.S. this month in the new EZ Pour No Splash bottle, and directly to GM factories for use on vehicle production lines in August of this year.
