PPG Site Soothes Pain in the Glass

PPG Industries recently launched the newest release of their site, PROSTARSAutoCare.com, a one-stop-shop that enables car owners to actively obtain price quotes and service for damaged auto glass without making any phone calls or searching multiple Websites.
The Website allows consumers to easily search among glass shop retailers in their area based on safety, cost, qualifications, satisfaction ratings, and more.
“PROSTARSAutoCare.com is an online, searchable database for car owners who are looking to repair or replace their auto glass,” said Fahmy Mechael, manager of business integration and development.
“We want to give visitors to our site the opportunity to fully understand what kind of service they are paying for.”
Users simply enter their zip code, vehicle information, and type and location of the glass damage.
The participating repair shops in the designated area will then be displayed to the user.
They can choose up to three shops and immediately receive price quotes from the selected shops.
Once the car owner determines the shop that best meets their needs, they can schedule a service appointment online.
More than 1,300 auto glass professionals are currently registered as part of the network.
In addition to providing price quotes and scheduling service, PROSTARSAutoCare.com offers a number of automotive resources including: car safety tips, live chat with helpful customer service representatives, and frequently asked questions.
“PPG Industries has been designing, improving, and manufacturing glass for more than 100 years. Pittsburgh-based PPG is a global supplier of paints, coatings, chemicals, optical products, specialty materials, glass and fiber glass.
The company has more than 150 manufacturing facilities and equity affiliates and operates in more than 60 countries.
