Porsche Centre Oakville opening celebration caps record sales month

Porsche Centre Oakville, the newest, most technologically advanced and largest Porsche dealership in Canada, celebrated record sales after opening its doors in September, reaffirming Porsche’s growth strategy for Canada.

Porsche executives from Canada, North America and the European headquarters were in attendance at a ribbon-cutting gala for more than 800 guests in the new state-of-the-art facility. “Canada represents a special market for us. Canada’s performance has brought it to the forefront as one of the most dynamic and fastest growing markets. Although I have the opportunity to attend new dealership openings around the globe, the opening of Porsche Centre Oakville feels very special,” said Bernhard Maier, member of the executive board for sales and marketing with Porsche AG in Germany.

Since it opened its doors in September, the dealership has sold more than 62 new Porsche vehicles; 333 new Porsches were sold in all of Canada in September.

With a 22-vehicle showroom, a 20-vehicle pre-owned display and such features as a 43-metre video wall, Porsche Centre Oakville embodies the ambitions of the Porsche brand in Canada.  In all aspects of sales and service, the latest Porsche innovations – from web and mobile tools to diagnostic equipment and parts management – have been incorporated to provide a customer experience that is second to none.

“Porsche actively seeks ways to stretch boundaries,” said Francesco Policaro, general manager for Porsche Centre Oakville. “We’re committed to making our Porsche Centre the most exciting outpost for Porsche this side of the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen, Germany.”

New and vintage Porsches were on display at the gala, including a custom 911 by Magnus Walker, famed owner of the Urban Outlaw Shop in California and subject of the documentary Urban Outlaw. Walker was also on hand to participate in the opening event. “It was great to be in attendance along with my 71T Car #277,” said Walker. “It is by far the most spectacular Porsche centre I have ever been to, a truly inspirational place.”

The new world-class dealership services the western GTA including Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and surrounding communities. It is located on the south side of the QEW between Bronte Road and Third Line. The centre employs 42 skilled and Porsche-trained personnel.
