Performance Muffler Offers Shops Profit Opportunities

Tenneco’s DynoMax Performance Exhaust business has introduced the DynoMax VT muffler, a high-flow stainless steel muffler that controls irritating drone and provides shops the opportunity to increase their emission control business.
The new DynoMax VT muffler – featuring the brand’s exclusive patent-pending Valve Technology – does not increase cost over most standard performance mufflers and is available for a full-range of car, truck, and SUV applications.
“The new DynoMax VT muffler makes it easy for shops to sell a differentiated performance muffler without any added expense,” said Joe Pase, director, performance products, DynoMax. “DynoMax has made it easy to carry a good, better and best performance muffler line with an added, exclusive innovation that can really make a difference for customers looking to remove drone and resonance from their vehicles.”
DynoMax Performance Exhaust products are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco Inc.
According to Tenneco, the DynoMax VT muffler features an exclusive, precisely calibrated patented internal valve that ensures maximum flow and performance while providing a drone-free experience in the vehicle.
“I was very impressed with the DynoMax VT muffler. For years, manufacturers have been searching for a way to cancel out drone without losing power, performance and sound. The VT muffler does that,” said Ed Hanson, owner of Ed Hanson’s Muffler Service, Spring Valley, Calif. “We’ve been using it for a couple months on a shop vehicle and we’ve even noticed an improvement in gas mileage. The VT muffler will be a success.”
The new muffler – engineered to deliver the DynoMax’s trademark “Drone-Free Performance” – offers the flow characteristics of the legendary DynoMax Ultra Flo® Welded muffler, through a straight-through unrestricted design that is dyno-proven to support up to 2,000 CFM and 2,000 horsepower.
“The DynoMax VT muffler provides an exciting combination of maximum flow and a deep, throaty drone-free sound. The VT valve technology lets you hammer it when you want that raw exhaust sound and cruise with it when you want more comfortable sound within the vehicle,” Pase said.
The 100-percent welded stainless steel muffler is available in a side inlet/center outlet 14-in. body length and a side inlet/side outlet 16-in. body length. Inlet/outlet bushing diameters include 2 ¼-in.; 2 ½-in.; and 3-in. sizes.
The new muffler includes slotted bushing ends; exclusive Continuous Roving Fiberglass (CRF) technology that absorbs additional unwanted interior resonance and provides a rich, deep performance tone; and a show-stopping DynoMax VT logo-embossed body and high-impact micro-finish.
The new stainless muffler is covered by a limited lifetime warranty and exclusive 90-day Performance and Sound Guarantee, an offer that lets enthusiasts try the muffler for 90 days. Consumers can return the product within 90 days for a full refund of its purchase price. Additional restrictions apply and can be found at www.DynoMax.com.
