Michel Tremblay, who has been AIA’s Quebec Division regional coordinator for many years, is stepping down from that post and Claude Robitaille, who has a great deal of experience in association management, will take over. Tremblay says he will stick around for a while as a coach.

Nominations for the Victor Reinz Machinist of the Year, presented by the AERA and ASE, are closing soon. Applications must be received at nomination headquarters by March 1, 2002. The award will be presented at the AERA New Products Showcase in Indianapolis, Ind., April 19. More information can be found at www.engineparts.com.

Competition Bureau Gives Go-Ahead for Uni-Select and Acklands-Grainger Joint Venture

Uni-Select and Acklands-Grainger have received word from the Competition Bureau that it will not initiate any action under the Competition Act with respect to their joint venture in Western Canada.
