NGK Recognized by GM

NGK Spark Plugs was honoured by General Motors for overall excellence in supporting GM’s product efforts during ceremonies Thursday, Jan. 11, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI.
“GM strives to build the best cars and trucks in the world, and the leadership and employees of NGK Spark Plugs represent what it takes to make GM’s products successful,” said Bo Andersson, GM vice president, global purchasing and supply chain.
“We honour these companies at the North American International Auto Show to remind the industry and the public and to illustrate the critical role our suppliers play in developing GM vehicles globally.”
“We are honoured by this prestigious award and appreciate the acknowledgement of General Motors,” said Shinich Odo, president and CEO of NGK Spark Plugs (USA), Inc.
This is the sixth year GM has honoured suppliers at the North American International Auto Show. The supplier awards recognize a supplier’s performance in quality, cost and delivery, as well as contributions to production and concept vehicles GM unveils at the NAIAS.
NGK Spark Plugs (USA) Inc. is a subsidiary of NGK Spark Plug Co., LTD.
In addition to U.S. factories in Irvine, California and Sissonville, West Virginia, NGK Spark Plug Co., LTD. has nine other production facilities worldwide supplying spark plugs, oxygen sensors and other automotive component products.
