The North American auto racing heavyweight NASCAR has stepped up to help keep CASCAR rolling.
CASCAR, Canada’s stock-car racing circuit, will not likely see any changes to how it puts on its events in the multi-year operating and marketing agreement with NASCAR.
“NASCAR is looking forward to working with CASCAR in a growing market for stock car racing,” said George Pyne, chief operating officer for NASCAR in a statement to the press. “NASCAR will lend operational and marketing expertise to help grow Canada’s national stock car series.”
According to reports, NASCAR does not plan many changes to how the stock-car racing circuit series here is run, marketed or administered. What the move by NASCAR does is give the North America racing giant a strong foothold in Canada and grow its brand awareness while growing CASCAR to be a major-league racing player.
