NACE Expands November Show

The International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) announced an exciting new element being introduced at this year’s event The NACE Auto & Cycle Alley. NACE delegates are encouraged to bring their personal show cars, trucks and motorcycles to be displayed in the NACE Exposition. Entries will be judged and “Best of Class” winners receiving $2,000 each with the “Best of Show” and “Celebrity Pick” winning entries receiving $3,000 each. WIZARDS Products and CCC Information Services are sponsoring the awards with the “Celebrity Pick” being judged by a panel of experts led by Chip Foose, an “icon” in the world of auto painting and refinishing, and host of TLC’s Overhaulin’ (Chip’s participation is sponsored by SATA Spray Equipment).
“We are extremely excited about the Auto & Cycle Alley, as we’re sure it will attract attendance and drive traffic throughout the Exposition all three days! It’s the ‘brain-child’ of this year’s Attendee Advisory Council a group of industry professionals dedicating their time and energy to raising the bar and increasing the core value of NACE events,” said Geralynn Kottschade, NACE 2006 Chairman and VP of Jerry’s Body Shop in Mankato, MN.
“At the Auto & Cycle Alley you’ll see more than just cars, including everything from Hot Rods and Harleys to Classics and Tuners owned by the ‘real’ repair professionals attending NACE. CCC is excited about being a part of this first-time event at NACE,” said Jeanene O’Brien, Director Marketing Services for CCC Information Services.
“Automobile enthusiasts come in all shapes and sizes just like their automotive creations and radical rides that have cost them a good bit of blood, sweat and tears — not to mention money! WIZARDS and NACE is providing them three solid days to show-off their pride and joy,” commented John Schlumpberger, Founder and CEO of WIZARDS Products.
NACE 2006 will be held Nov. 1-4, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The educational Conference will run from Nov. 1-4 (Wednesday-Saturday), and the Exposition will take place Nov. 2-4 (Thursday-Saturday). The event will again be held during Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW), taking place that same week in Las Vegas.
NACE, the world’s collision repair event, annually draws an attendance of approximately 30,000 from around the globe. It features a variety of educational sessions addressing the needs of all industry segments, as well as an Exposition with approximately 500 exhibiting companies.
