Muffler/Exhaust Service

Dealers and Independents swapped positions this year for share of muffler and exhaust work. Dealers previously had the largest share at 32%, but slipped to 28%, whereas Independents improved their share from 27% to 31%.

Auto specialists continue to sit in third place at 22%, a 1% gain over last year. The Independents’ gain in share is driven by B. C., Ontario, and Quebec; the same regions are driving the decline for Dealers.
